City of Bellaire Police, Courts Building & City Hall

New construction of a multi-phased, LEED Silver, municipal complex including a City Hall/Civic Center and Police Department/Municipal Courts Building. The project was constructed in the downtown square of the City of Bellaire, requiring seamless integration with existing parks and uninterrupted services to the community and surrounding businesses.

The new Police Department/Municipal Courts Building was to be constructed at the location of the current facility, which required a temporary 911 call center be built in the City’s existing fire station across the street, and a temporary office and holding cell facility be built in part of the existing City Hall before demolition of the existing police facility.

Half of the City Hall/Civic Center had to be constructed and temporarily partitioned, as the other half of the footprint was to be built where the current, operating, facility was located. Once the new Police Department/Municipal Courts Building was complete, operations were shifted the new facility, City Hall was transferred to the partially completed City Hall Building, and the remainder of the Civic Center was completed.

Key Features

  • Multi-Event Civic Center

  • 911 Call Center

  • Secure Sally Port & Holding Cells
