Day in the Life - Tommy T.

Meet Tommy and take a look at a day in the life as a Superintendent at CBG.

What does a normal work day look like for you?
"My typical day begins with a safety meeting alongside our subcontractors, ensuring everyone is briefed on safety protocols. Following that, I discuss their daily scope of work, forwarding this information to our site representative and the client. Progress meetings are a regular occurrence, providing updates on project developments. Occasionally, I lend support to fellow superintendents on other projects. Finally, I conclude the day by providing a summary to our client.."

What qualities are important to have in your role?
Experience in this facility, good organizational and communication skills, initiative, a good attitude, and patience.

How did you get started in construction?
"I began my construction journey conduct in elevation surveys during college breaks. Following that, I gained experience in warehouse management before transitioning to an industrial tanker manufacturing company. Later, I joined a cell tower communications firm where we handled various tasks, including constructing cell sites and maintaining equipment. This exposure led me to specialize in industrial operations, particularly in material and equipment management. It was this expertise that ultimately drew me to Christensen Building Group."
