On August 8th, 2016, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the project site for the New Fire Station 11-6. Station 11-6 is expected to help the department maintain its ISO Class 1 rating for performance, staffing, training and water supplies. It is scheduled to open in 2017. The ISO Class 1 rating has been earned by only 178 of the nation’s fire departments. The new, 9,000-square-foot fire station in Harmony will house two bays, a fitness center for department personnel, kitchen and sleeping quarters for five. (Source:www.mcesd8.org)
